Minjee is #11 on the Olympic Golf Ranking, with Hannah Green #7 after a strong season. Minjee told the ABC that representing her country will bring a new level to the competition.
‘I know week-in, week-out… we represent Australia but we're not playing for Australia. I feel like it's just a little bit different… You just got to be there to experience it.’
The Paris competition is only the 5th time golf has been an Olympic sport, and just the 3rd time since 1904. The men play August 1-4 at Le Golf National near the Palace of Versailles, while the women play from August 8-11.
