Best Golfing Hack

Why practising with a golf net is the best golfing hack

Ok golfers, today we're addressing one of the most commonly-asked questions from our prospective customers: What are the main benefits of practicing with a golf net - and is it a disadvantage that you can't always see the ball flight?

Well, the bottom line is that adding a humble golf net to a golfer's arsenal can be the secret weapon that can take your game from mediocre to magnificent in no time flat.

I know what you’re thinking. ‘A company that sells golf nets, recommending we buy a golf net? Really?' But hear me out. There’s a reason why so many great golfers have a net in their backyard (or their pool room). And that reason is simple: practising with a golf net is the best golfing hack there is.

Why, you ask? Ok let's count some of the ways:

1. Anytime, Anywhere: First and foremost, a golf net allows you to practice your swing whenever and wherever you want. Sure, you're still going to hit the driving range and the course, but you can't do that every single day. With a golf net at home, you can set up shop in your backyard, your shed, or even your lounge room (if your partner is particularly understanding) and hit as many balls as you want, whenever you want. No more excuses for not getting in your daily practice.

2. Saving Money: At my local driving range a large bucket of balls costs $21 (100 balls). Let's say I go three times a week every week (yep, I'm obsessed), that's $63 times 52 weeks = $3,276 a year on golf balls!! Do you still think $499 for a high-quality golf net is expensive?

3. Focus, Feel & Feedback: Not being able to see your ball flight can actually be an advantage, especially when you're having lessons or making swing changes. Hitting into a net allows you to focus on specific aspects of your game - but don't just take our word for it, here's a video from one of Australia's leading PGA teaching professionals Ryan Moque (you can check out some Ryan's other coaching videos here:)

For example, if you’re struggling with your 3 iron, you can hit a hundred balls into your net with just your 3 iron, without worrying about your other clubs. Or if you’re working on your swing plane, you can really slow your swing down and hit shot after shot until you've found the right groove, then gradually increase your swing speed. Which leads onto our 4th and final benefit:

4. Accessorise with Training Tools: Hitting balls into your net sharpens your focus on the sound and feel of your shots. But if you want to go to the next level, you can always add in training tools such as a tripod to video your swing, a launch monitor or even a golf simulator and projector, to turn your golf net into an indoor driving range AND golf course.

So there you have it, folks. The best golfing hack is not some fancy artificial intelligence gadget or an expensive new set of clubs. It’s a simple and yet incredibly effective tool: the golf net.

If you’re not already using one, I highly recommend you give it a try. Your game will thank you!
